- Vehicles bought at BYD Balintawak come with a 6 years warranty coverage; the Lithium Iron Phosphate battery of the vehicle comes with 8 years coverage.
- The first preventive maintenance is scheduled when either 3 months has passed or your vehicle has exceeded 5,000 kilometers in distance travelled, depending on whichever comes first. The next preventive maintenances will occur in intervals of either one year or 20,000 kilometers, for battery electric vehicles (Seagull, Dolphin, Atto 3, Han, Tang). This number is 10,000 kilometers only for plug-in hybrid vehicles (Sealion 6 DM-i).
- All vehicles are equipped with tire sealants and compressors in case a puncture arises during any of your trips.
- Reminders on how to properly maintain your BYD vehicle:
- When using your portable home charger, make sure to always plug the outlet cord first before plugging in the charging nozzle to your vehicle. Moreover, ensure that no obstructions are present around the charging area’s surroundings. Note that it is absolutely safe to leave the vehicle charging unattended overnight as it will automatically cut-off charging when it reaches the 100% battery state.
- To ensure the battery condition remains at an optimal state, drain the battery at a below 20% state of charge once every 6 months, followed by an uninterrupted charging activity until it reaches 100%.
